In the case of this publisher, I doubted myself for about 5 minutes, then I was over it. I have to live with the outcome, and I wouldn't have been satisfied with the product they offered.Jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02189348909598343019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8701505747102838690.post-29550525816315788772011-12-30T13:39:19.966-05:002011-12-30T13:39:19.966-05:00Jeanne, you were completely justified in every rem...Jeanne, you were completely justified in every remark you made. You were not out of line, too blunt, or politically incorrect. This is YOUR work. YOU are the artist, they are the venue to distribute your art. When the trade off is rights to your work, and in other words, a part of yourself, then you have every right to approach it with whatever questions you deem necessary. You were not disrespectful in anyway. Regardless of their response, they were still not the right publisher for several other reasons.

That being said, I think this is a constant struggle for many people. But in general I think that while softening the truth may be better in the moment, in many scenarios it is not beneficial in the long run. Okay, I'm rambling a lot. Perhaps I need to write my own blog entry haha

Nice post! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8701505747102838690.post-514106920208974182011-12-30T11:10:06.107-05:002011-12-30T11:10:06.107-05:00Good for you!
